The Stone Elephant
by Liliana Stafford
The Stone Elephant has been in the world since the beginning.
The air moves her and she moves the air.
The sun and the moon give her light and shadows.
The rain and the wind bring news of the world.
When we take the time to listen to nature we learn about ourselves. This book explore this theme for me and I take from it what I need to know. I hope others are able to do the same.
The pictures are done in chrystaline tissue paper. I made the paper, then tore it into small pieces and used it to create a collage. Over the top of some parts of the pictures I put encaustic wax.The fruit is gold foil. It was great fun.

The Stone Elephant.
